Agartala Aug 24: A four-member group backed by few others broke into the houyse of one Litan Ghosh in the capital city’s Baldakhal area on Tuesday night and robbed cash and gold ornaments worth lakhs of rupees.Family members alleged, the miscreants looted cash of at least Rs 70,000 and gold ornaments threatening them showing knifes and other sharp weapons in the dark of night.
The family members further alleged that they did not receive any help from the police. Despite receiving information police reached the spot at least 1hr late and only recorded preliminary details.On the other, crimes in the capital city Agartala is in an abnormal rise and increasing banditry has caused an alarming situation in households.
