Agartala, 7th March 2024:  Rajib Bhattacharya, the Pradesh BJP President in Agartala, asserted that the residents of the state are resolute in their support for the BJP, attributing it to the developmental endeavors undertaken by both the state and central governments. During a gathering at Karamcherra in the Dhalai District, where 415 voters from 144 families switched allegiance to the BJP, Bhattacharya underscored the impact of PM Modi’s Vikshit Bharat Sankalpa Yatra and development initiatives, leading people from diverse areas to shift their allegiance from opposition parties to the BJP.

Highlighting the merging of the principal opposition party, Tipra Motha, with the Tripura government and its endorsement of PM Modi, Bhattacharya emphasized the widespread determination among people from all communities to support only the BJP. He commended the collaborative efforts of the PM Modi-led Central government and the state government, stating that the support extends to various sections, including Janajatis. The joining of 415 voters in Karamcherra was presented as a testament to this widespread support.

Bhattacharya reiterated the BJP’s commitment to tangible development, contrasting it with parties relying on slogans. He criticized previous political regimes, particularly the CPIM, for exploiting indigenous people for political gains and accused them of misappropriating public funds during their 25-year rule. The shift in focus from mere slogans to the principles of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ and ‘Sabka Prayaas’ since the BJP’s inception has resonated with the people, leading them to align with the party. Bhattacharya clarified that the BJP prioritizes action over protests, emphasizing PM Modi’s initiatives for the overall welfare of the populace. Additionally, he criticized the CPIM and Congress for their failure to address the long-standing issue of the Bru people.
