Agartala, 7th March 2024: In a meeting at the state BJP office today, Amit Rakshit, the general secretary of the state BJP, declared that no political party in the country or state could rival the BJP in terms of development. He suggested that the Congress and CPIM are now depleted due to successive defections, predicting that there will be no flag bearers in the opposition parties in the near future. He stated that the state has already reached that stage.
On the same day, 12 voters, including SC Congress vice-president Rasik Lal Biswas, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. Rakshit welcomed them into the party by presenting them with the party flag. He noted that many activists and supporters from BJP political parties have already joined the Padma camp, leaving the opposition parties devoid of members.
Rakshit expressed his belief that the development of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the state and the country has led to this breakdown. The new members were welcomed into the party by receiving the party flag in the joining meeting. Rakshit anticipates that such participation will continue in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections.
