Agartala, 5th April 2024:  In a concerning incident at Bishalgarh sub-divisional hospital, allegations have arisen regarding the negligence of a doctor, leaving a patient unattended for a prolonged period. Bina Rani Das, a resident of Netaji Nagar area, lay injured in a hospital bed for an hour without receiving medical attention after being brought in by firefighters following a bike accident.

Witnesses report that despite hearing the woman’s cries for help, the attending doctor failed to provide medical services, purportedly occupied with personal affairs. This incident has sparked outrage among the families of other patients present, questioning the adequacy of emergency services and the commitment of medical staff to their duties.

Instances of such neglect in hospitals have become increasingly prevalent, raising concerns about the accountability of medical professionals and the efficacy of healthcare systems. The lack of immediate action against responsible doctors has only exacerbated the frustration of affected families.

Authorities are urged to investigate the matter promptly and ensure accountability to prevent recurrence of such distressing incidents in the future.
