Postal voting commences for service workers at Shishu Bihar HS School, RO Dr Vishal Kumar oversees process

Agartala, 15th April 2024:  The crucial voting phase for individuals serving in essential services commenced on Monday through postal ballots, with voting taking place at Shishu Bihar HS School. Dr. Vishal Kumar, the Returning Officer and District Magistrate of West Tripura, made this announcement during his inspection of the proceedings.

Dr. Kumar highlighted that essential service workers exercised their voting rights based on their applications. A total of 42 voters participated in today’s voting process, predominantly comprising journalists.

The initiative underscores the commitment to ensuring that individuals engaged in essential services have the opportunity to contribute to the democratic process while fulfilling their vital roles in society.
