Two Tribal minor girls gang-raped: Police managed to arrest fourth accused involved in case

Agartala, 24th April 2024  :   Two tribal minors were gang-raped by seven tribal youths. Police of Srinagar police station has arrested another minor accused in the rape case.

It is learned that two minor girls of Ambassa and Khumulwng were gang-raped by seven youths on April 13 in Gangaram Para under Srinagar police station.

Later, a rape case was filed against the seven accused in Srinagar Police Station on behalf of the minor victim’s family. The police registered a case of rape and first arrested two minors and one accused above 18 and sent them to court.

Since then the police of Srinagar police station continued the operation to nab the rest of the accused and finally on Tuesday night they nabbed one more minor accused from Jarulbachai Dukhiyakubra area. Police questioning the minor admitted the truth of the alleged incident.

According to the police, the minor accused has been produced in the Juvenile Court on Wednesday. In this rape case, the police have arrested a total of four accused so far and the police have expressed hope that the remaining three accused will be arrested soon.
