Disney+ Hotstar revolutionizes Indian animation with Baahubali: Crown of Blood

 Disney+ Hotstar is reshaping the landscape of Indian animation with the upcoming release of “Baahubali: Crown of Blood.” Building upon the success of “The Legend of Hanuman,” the streaming giant is pioneering a tradition anchored in Indian storytelling through captivating animation.

Scheduled to premiere on May 17th, “Baahubali: Crown of Blood” transports viewers to an era of epic battles and heroic alliances. Produced by Graphic India and Arka Mediaworks Production Pvt Ltd, and helmed by visionary filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli, the series promises to be a visual spectacle.

Gaurav Banerjee, Head of Content at Disney+ Hotstar & HSM Entertainment Network, Disney Star, emphasized the platform’s commitment to showcasing top-notch animation rooted in Indian heritage and storytelling traditions. He remarked, “No animation series has really connected with huge audiences on a streaming platform, film, or TV. We had to buy into the belief that this could become mainstream in India.”

Banerjee’s sentiment underscores the platform’s dedication to fostering a new wave of animated content that resonates with Indian audiences. He expressed his enchantment with “Baahubali,” citing its unprecedented storytelling and visual grandeur as inspirations for the endeavor.

“Baahubali: Crown of Blood” marks a significant milestone in Disney+ Hotstar’s journey towards establishing Indian animation on a global stage. With a stellar team of creators and a rich narrative steeped in Indian mythology, the series is poised to captivate audiences worldwide.
