Violence not to tolerated : Deputy CM

Agartala: August 30. Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma today in an oblique reference to TIPRA motha said that activities in the name of Tiprasa are injuring the whole society and showing intolerance in the state and the government will not tolerate such kind of activities.

The statement of DyCM came after he visited GB Pant hospital this evening to meet the BJP workers who came under brutal attacks in different parts of the state by suspected TIPRA Motha workers when they were on their way to attend public rally of BJP National President JP Nadda at Khumulwng of TTAADC on Monday.

On Facebook the senior BJP minister wrote, “After returning from Guwahati, today visited GB pant hospital and met the victims of political violence of 28th August by hooligans who tried to disrupt rally of BJP National President. Is this Thansa (unity) when women are also not spared?? This will not be tolerated”.

He further said that this type of activity in the name of Tiprasa is injuring the whole society and showing intolerance. “The government will take stern action on those who have done this cowardly act”, the minister said.
