Ex MP Pratima Bhoumik extends aid to kin of deceased well cleaners

Agartala, 16th June 2024 :   Former Union Minister of State Pratima Bhoumik visited the families of deceased well cleaners and extended financial help.

On June 8, a heartbreaking accident took place in the Taibandal area of the Dhanpur Assembly constituency, where three youths—Shukramani Murasingh, Shambhu Debbarma, and Ashok Tripura—died while cleaning a well.

On Sunday, Pratima Bhoumik who is also former MP in Tripura, the former Union Minister of State, visited the homes of the deceased workers and met with their family members. During her visit, she provided initial financial assistance from the state government.

Pratima Bhoumik expressed her sorrow over the incident, saying, “I am very saddened by this incident. With the help of our Dhanpur mandal officials, the organization will provide financial assistance of fifty thousand rupees to each family and will always stand by the families.”

She was accompanied by Dhanpur MLA Bindu Debnath and other officials.
