PM should condemn lawlessness in Bihar: Tejashwi

Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav on Tuesday demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should condemn the rising crime graph under the regime of Nitish Kumar led NDA government in the state.

Yadav posted on social media account X that PM Modi used to refer RJD regime in Bihar as “Jungle Raj ” during his campaign in the recently held Lok Sabha elections. “Crime graph had increased alarmingly in Bihar and it could be gauged from the crime data of the state in the last few days,” he pointed out.

“Now that crime graph has increased alarmingly in Bihar during the regime of Nitish led NDA government, the PM should at least condemn it, ” the RJD leader said adding that it was the least expectation of the people from the PM. He also listed on social media accounts, details of criminal activities witnessed in Bihar in the last few days.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha while reacting over the allegations of Tejashwi, said that stern action was being taken against those found indulging in criminal activities.

Two criminals involved in bank dacoity were gunned down by police during an encounter, he pointed out. Leader of Opposition also has the responsibility “to wipe out the tears of the people, and not merely make baseless allegations against the government”, he remarked.
