Agartala, 30th July 2024: The designated Governor and former Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura, Jishnu Dev Varma visited the revered Mata Tripura Sundari Temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peeths in Udaipur under Gomati district to offer prayers on Tuesday.
Upon his arrival, Dev Varma was warmly welcomed by the state’s Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy along with MLAs Jitendra Majumder and Abhishek Debroy. The administrative officials and members of the ruling party also extended their congratulations to him.
After performing rituals at the Mata Tripura Sundari Temple, Dev Varma proceeded to worship at the Shib Bari within the temple premises.
In a subsequent interaction with media personnel, Dev Varma expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Prime Minister and the President of India. He stated, “I am deeply thankful to the Prime Minister and the President for this opportunity. As I take on the role of Governor in Telangana, I will focus on fostering development. I aim to explore what developmental practices can be exchanged between Tripura and Telangana to benefit both states.”
Dev Varma’s visit and his commitment to development have been well-received, marking a significant moment in his transition to his new role.
