Agartala, 4th September 2024: In a tragic incident early this morning, a commander vehicle carrying passengers lost control and plunged into a ditch in the Killa Darjeeling Thumbari area under the Udaipur division. The accident took place around 5 AM, resulting in serious injuries to ten passengers.
Local residents, alarmed by the loud crash, rushed to the scene and promptly alerted the fire brigade. Firefighters arrived swiftly, rescuing the injured and transporting them to nearby hospitals. Several victims were admitted to Gomati District Hospital, while others received treatment at Killa Primary Hospital.
Authorities have confirmed that three of the injured passengers are in critical condition. Eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle was carrying approximately thirteen passengers at the time of the accident.
The cause of the vehicle losing control is still under investigation.
