YouTube Channel Owner Rajesh Tripura arrested for fraud and financial misappropriation

Agartala, 19th October 2024:   A YouTube channel owner Rajesh Tripura was arrested on charges of fraud and financial misappropriation. The arrest took place following an investigation into a case involving the forgery of a land deed and financial deceit.

West Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge Paritosh Das said “Rajesh Tripura, along with others, sold land belonging to another individual to the World Mission Education in Delhi by forging the land deed. A case was registered at Agartala West Police Station on July 12, 2023, following a complaint from World Mission Education.”

The police have already arrested four individuals linked to the case, with Rajesh Tripura being the main accused. “Last night, we apprehended Rajesh Tripura. Today, we presented him in court, seeking a five-day police remand for further investigation,” Das added.

Additional allegations have surfaced against Tripura, including financial fraud involving a businessman in the state. According to Das, “He had purchased goods worth around Rs 10 lakh but failed to pay, using fraudulent checks to deceive merchants.”

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities probing deeper into the extent of the financial misconduct surrounding Tripura.
