Agartala, 29th October 2024:  Two youths from a drug rehabilitation center in Bishramganja, Sepahijala District, were severely injured after reportedly being pushed from the second floor of the facility. The incident allegedly occurred when the residents, identified as Sagar Debbarma and Tamal Jamatia, were unable to complete a cleaning task within the designated time frame.

According to Tripura Police sources, both victims had been assigned to clean a bathroom but did not finish the task within the allotted period. “When they couldn’t complete the cleaning on time, they were allegedly pushed from the second floor,” a police official reported. Local residents discovered the injured youths and rushed them to a nearby hospital. Given the severity of their injuries, both were later transferred to GB Pant Hospital, where they remain under treatment.

Family members of one of the victims shared their distress: “We don’t know the full details of what happened. We were only informed by the rehabilitation center to come to the hospital. When we arrived, we found our son with injuries to his face, hands, and legs.”
