Agartala, 29th October 2024:  The BBC Club organized a voluntary blood donation camp in the old motor stand area of Agartala city on Tuesday. Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumdar inaugurated the camp.

“Blood donation is the greatest human religion,” Mayor Majumdar stated during the inauguration. He urged everyone to participate in such social work, emphasizing the critical need for blood to save the lives of comatose patients. He encouraged the public to donate blood, noting, “Humans can donate human blood, so everyone should come forward to donate.”

He further highlighted a recent issue faced by blood bank schools in the state, which prompted the Chief Minister to call for blood donations. “Only then did people come forward to donate blood,” Majumdar said, urging continued participation in such camps.

Mayor Majumdar later toured the camp, encouraging blood donors and reiterating his call for regular blood donations to ensure a steady supply in blood banks.
