Agartala, 27th November 2024:  The Tripura Rajya Karmachari Sangha’s Khowai branch submitted a memorandum to District Education Officer Dinesh Debbarma detailing a 16-point charter of demands on Wednesday. The deputation aimed to address various obstacles affecting schools in the Khowai block, including teaching, learning, and the improvement of school infrastructure and academic subjects, which have hindered the implementation of the new education policy.

Karuna Debnath, a member of the TRKS state committee emphasized the urgent need for action. “We are witnessing continuous obstacles in all schools under the Khowai block. These issues severely impact the present and future generations and obstruct the implementation of the new education policy,” she stated.

Additionally, the union called for the demolition and reconstruction of the old IS office building, timely pension disbursement for retired teachers, and the reassignment of teachers working in DEO and IS offices to their respective schools. They also requested the transfer of PGT teachers in Education or Philosophy from Vidya Jyoti School Lane to other schools.

The delegation comprised 11 members from the Sangha’s Khowai branch including state committee members Karuna Debnath, Rathindra Majumdar, Amar Lal Saha, Suman Chandra Nath, Pintu Debnath, Alok Das, Shatadal Roy, Pradip Kumar Nath , and Niroj Kanti Gope.
