The focal point of the workshop is reducing the number of intravenous drug users in Tripura, a growing concern for public health. In his speech, Dr. Amit Debbarma, Assistant Project Director of TSACS, emphasized the importance of the initiative in safeguarding the future of the youth and mitigating the risk of HIV transmission.

This is the first large-scale workshop organized in Tripura to focus on HIV/AIDS prevention, and it aims to bring about significant changes in the state’s approach to addressing this health crisis. Officials expressed hope that the discussions held during the workshop would pave the way for future interventions that will help prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS and protect vulnerable populations.

The event is set to continue tomorrow, with more detailed discussions planned to ensure the success of the initiative and extend the benefits of the workshop across the state.
