Agartala, 31st December 2024: Tripura Chief Minister, Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, stands out as one of the most educated leaders in the country, encompassing 28 full-fledged states and 8 Union Territories.
A distinguished maxillofacial surgeon and a postgraduate, he is among the select group of eight Chief Ministers with such high academic qualifications. This noteworthy detail was highlighted in the latest report by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), a reputed organization dedicated to promoting socio-political transparency.
The findings are based on affidavits submitted by the Chief Ministers themselves to the Election Commission of India (ECI). Since assuming office in May 2022, Dr. Saha has upheld an impeccable record, with no criminal cases pending against him. In contrast, nearly all other Chief Ministers in the country face pending criminal cases, making Dr. Saha’s integrity and clean image even more remarkable.
