Nine Tripura Civil Service Officers Elevated to IAS

Agartala, 7th January 2025:   Nine officials from the Tripura Civil Service (TCS) have been promoted to the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS) over the years 2021, 2022, and 2023. 

An official notification from the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions (Department of Personnel & Training) detailed that the promotions were made under Rule 8(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954, alongside Regulation 9(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955, and Rule 3 of the Indian Administrative Service (Probation) Rules, 1954. 

The order, issued with the approval of the President of India, confirms the appointment of these officers from the State Civil Service of Tripura to IAS against vacancies identified by the Government of India in consultation with the Tripura State Government. These promotions correspond to the year-wise select lists for 2021, 2022, and 2023. 

The officers are appointed on probation, subject to further orders, and have been allocated to the Tripura Cadre as per Rule 5(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954. 

The officials promoted include Ajit Shukla Das, Manik Lal Das, and Devananda Reang  of 2021, Aditi Majumder and Santosh Das  of 2022 and from 2023 Dhanbabu Reang, Dasarth Debbarma, Mihir Kanti Gop, and Upendra Jamatia .

This significant development marks an important milestone in the professional journey of these civil service officers.
