Freedom must be snatched away: Sudip Roy Barman at Mahila Congress’ Convention

Agartala, 23rd January 2025:   The state convention of Tripura Pradesh Mahila Congress was held at Bishramganj Multipurpose Community Hall today resonated with the slogan “Nay Ki Adhikar.” The event saw the presence of Pradesh Congress President Asish Saha, MLA Sudip Roy Barman, leader Piyush Kanti Biswas and Pradesh Mahila Congress President Sarbani Chakraborty.

The convention was held in Sepahijala district raised questions among the local populace about the Congress’s intentions. Addressing the gathering, Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman highlighted the increasing crimes against women in the state. “There is no safety for women in the state; crimes against women are increasing day by day. Women have lost their freedom,” he asserted. He further criticized the state BJP government for failing to address these issues, stating, “Freedom is not just found, it has to be snatched away.”

The convention concluded on a poignant note as Congress leader Sudip Roy Barman ended the conference by singing a song, leaving a lasting impression on the attendees.
