Agartala: September 25. ARDD Minister Bhagaban Chandra Das today claimed that soon after the new government formed has started creating income opportunities in every house of the state.

“The current government is creating income opportunities in every house of the state. The main objective of the government is to make every family self-reliant. To this end the government has given utmost importance to agriculture and agriculture related issues”, said Minister Das while laying the foundation stone of the Uptakhali animal treatment center in Jubarajnagar block of North Tripura district today.

While speaking at the foundation laying ceremony, the Minister said that animal husbandry is one of the sources of income in a short period of time. “Agriculture-dependent households in the state have animal rearing practices. The current government is making use of this opportunity to provide additional income to every family. Lakhs of families have been helped to rear ducks, chickens, goats and pigs under the Chief Minister’s Self-Employed Family Yojana. As a result, the families in the rural areas are becoming self-sufficient and the production of milk, eggs and meat has increased more than before”, claimed the minister. He further said on the occasion that the government is working for the welfare of all the people. “The government is working in all areas like roads, drinking water, development of farmers, providing houses under Prime Minister Housing Scheme, increasing social allowances. To provide more services to the people, the Good Governance Abhiyan program is now taken up in every house”, he said. Bhabatosh Das, Sabhadhipati of North Tripura Zilla Parishad, said that the current government is working to make people self-reliant.
