Agartala, 15th February 2025:   Daily wage workers at the Central Store under the Food Department in AD Nagar have raised their voices today demanding fair wages after two decades of service. These workers, who have been working on a daily wage basis for 20 years, report that their current income is insufficient to meet the rising market prices making it challenging to support their families.

The workers have appealed to the administration for the payment of a full monthly wage, including holidays. They emphasize that despite their extensive experience and relentless hard work, they lack permanent financial security. The workers urge the administration to address their concerns from a humanitarian perspective and take prompt action.

They have submitted written applications to the relevant department and the government on multiple occasions, highlighting their plight and calling for a swift resolution. However, the divisional office of the administration has yet to respond favorably to their demands.

The workers continue to advocate for fair treatment and financial stability, hoping for a positive response from the administration.
