Agartala, 15th February 2025: Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath today officiated the inauguration of several development projects in Kanchanpur. The day’s events included the formal opening of a newly constructed two-storey building at Laljuri RD Block, a 1,000 metric ton capacity godown of the Ujan Fish Farming Department, and a Veterinary Dispensary of the Animal Husbandry Department.
In the afternoon, Minister Nath also inaugurated the subdivision-based vegetable and flower exhibition and competition, alongside the Pitha Puli Mela in Kanchanpur. He was joined by Minister Santana Chakma, ADC member Shailendra Nath, Swapna Rani Das, BDO of Laljuri RD Block Sourav Al Aman, among others.
As part of the occasion, beneficiaries received 2 power tailors, 20 battery-operated presses, 150 manual pudding wearers, 30 power weeders, and 20 glass cutting machines. Minister Nath emphasized the importance of self-reliance in his speech, quoting the Prime Minister’s ethos. “Even if all the resources of the world are given to Laljuri, it will not be enough unless people are made self-reliant,” said Minister Nath. The current government prioritizes fostering self-reliance among the populace.
