Sub-Divisional Talent Search program held at Sabroom

Agartala, 22nd February 2025 :   A sub-divisional talent search program was organized on the grounds of Sabroom Higher Secondary School. The event was inaugurated by South Tripura District Sabhadhipati Dipak Datta with 39-Manu assembly constituency’s MLA Milaifru Mog attending as the chief guest. Also present were Sports Department Officer Mihir Shil, Satchand Panchayat Samiti Chairman Prabhas Lodh and other dignitaries.

Students from various schools within the three blocks and the Nagar Panchayat of Sabroom sub-division participated in the competition. The players selected through this competition will compete at the district level.

The primary objective of this talent search program is to encourage students to engage in sports and to steer society away from the adverse effects of addiction, promoting a healthy lifestyle. Dakshin Tripura Zilla Parishad’s Sabhadhipati Dipak Datta stated, “Through this competition, students will have the opportunity to make the state’s name shine in various parts of the country.” He added, “Such competitions play a crucial role in encouraging students towards sports and in the development of a healthy body and mind.”

Assistant Director of the Sports Department Mihir Shil encouraged students to take a greater interest in sports.

The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students. The organizers have announced plans to hold such competitions on a larger scale in the future, providing talented players in the district with the opportunity to showcase their skills.
