During his visit, he also toured the Tarapur, Joy, and Bhagalpur Border Outpost (BOP) areas, where he interacted with Border Security Force (BSF) personnel and local representatives.

At the Tarapur BOP, the Governor was warmly received by BSF’s Inspector General of the Tripura Frontier AK Sharma, DIG Narasimha Reddy of the Teliamura sector, and Commandant of the 104th Battalion Neeraj Singh Jamual. Speaking at the BOP, BSF officials informed the Governor about the pivotal role played by the 104th Battalion during the Sylhet district conflict in the 1971 war. In honor of this legacy, the Governor was presented with a symbol of the war memorial.

Commending the BSF, the Governor stated, “The BSF is our frontline defense for the country’s security. I am confident that they will continue their untiring efforts in safeguarding the border in the coming days.”

During his visit to the Joy BOP, the jawans showcased various weapons and equipment to the Governor, offering him a detailed insight into their operational capabilities. At the Bhagalpur BOP, the Governor was welcomed by Commandant Ajay Kumar of the 42nd Battalion. While traveling along the border road, he inspected the sluice gate and noted the fencing and crop fields along the border.

In addition to his border inspection, the Governor held separate meetings with local representatives in three panchayat areas—Ishanpur, Brakshkund, and Bhagalpur. Addressing the people gathered at the Ishanpur Gram Panchayat office, Brakshkund Mukta Manch, and the Bhagalpur BOP field, the Governor engaged in discussions about development initiatives and local concerns.

Former MLA Krishnadhan Das and senior officials, including West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar, BSF IG AK Sharma, and representatives from the general and police administration, were present during the meetings. “I will bring the concerns of the people to the attention of the Central and State Governments and ensure necessary action,” the Governor assured.
