State Govt Prepared, Acting on Centre’s Directives: CM Saha

Agartala, 10th May 2025:  Tripura Chief Minister and Home Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today asserted that the state government is fully prepared and functioning in line with the directives issued by the Central Government, particularly regarding border security.

Dr. Saha chaired a high-level security meeting at his official residence yesterday to review and strengthen surveillance along the India-Bangladesh international border.

The closed-door meeting, which lasted over an hour, was attended by senior officers of the Border Security Force (BSF), Assam Rifles, intelligence agencies, and other security forces.Speaking to reporters today, Dr. Saha said, “I held a meeting yesterday with all concerned security personnel and issued clear instructions to ensure seamless coordination. I have also directed them to maintain strict vigil along the international border.”

He further added, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar have already briefed us on the necessary steps. We are working accordingly and are fully prepared as per the Centre’s instructions.”The statement comes amid increased focus on national security and border vigilance ahead of sensitive developments in the region.
