CPI-M’s Youth Wings hits streets against Police brutality on agitating youths

Agartala Nov 16: DYFI and TYF, the youth wings of CPI-M, prime opposition political party in Tripura hit the streets of capital city on Wednesday on burning issues related to unemployment and welfare of Students and Youths.

The two youth organizations held a protest march in the capital city pressing on four charter point demands.The protest rally is a part of statewide agitation called by the Democratic Youth Federation of India and Tribal Youth Federation from November 15 to November 17 on 4-point demands.

The agitating activists demanded to stop inhuman harassment by the police on the agitating job aspirants, to fill the vacancies in all the government departments including education and health, to publish the results of Group-C, Group-D examination at the earliest and also demanded permanent recruitment in case of all government jobs.The protest march of the left activists started from the front of the Melarmath Chatra-Yuva Bhavan and traversed major routes around the city.

Addressing the reporters the DYFI leaders said, “With a motive to thwart the democratic protest of the unemployed youths, the BJP government is using its police machinery to harass the unemployed”.This won’t be tolerated, added the leaders.The procession was led by youth leaders Palash Bhowmik, Nabarun Deb, Kaushik Roy Debbarma and others.
