Dharmanagar Press Club holds blood donation camp on “National Press Day”

Agartala, November 16: Commemorating “National Press Day”, the members of the Dharmanagar Press Club on Wednesday organized a blood donation camp. At present, the Blood Bank in North Tripura district hospital at Dharmanagar is suffering from crisis of availability of blood.

Dharmanagar Press Club arranged for as much blood as possible. A total of 18 units of blood made up for a day or two to give a relief to the crisis of blood. It should be noted that on an average, about 15 units of blood are required in Dharmanagar every day. Dharmanagar Blood Donors Association extended a helping hand to the press club in this blood donation. Not just to supply this shortage, whenever someone is in need of blood, the members of Dharmanagar Press Club jump in to help by donating blood.

Among the 18 blood donors who donated their precious blood, there were nine blood donors who accepted their responsibility towards the society by donating their blood for the first time in their life today.

Dharmanagar Press Club President Palash Sen and Secretary Panna Ghosh applauded the initiative of the club members.
