Agartala, 21st May 2025:    A woman from Kanchanmala No. 1 ward under the Golaghati assembly constituency has made a desperate plea to the Chief Minister for assistance in saving her husband’s life.

The incident dates back to the first week of April, when Jamal Mia, a resident of the Muslim neighborhood, was found unconscious near Rose Valley Park and rescued by fire department personnel. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he received treatment at GB Hospital for several days before being discharged. However, his condition has shown no significant improvement.

Jamal Mia, a daily wage laborer, sustained severe head injuries in the incident, leaving him bedridden and unable to speak or recognize anyone. His family, including his wife, a disabled son, and a daughter, has exhausted their savings in an attempt to secure his treatment. Now, with no money left for his medicines or household expenses, the family is struggling for survival.

Speaking to reporters this afternoon, Jamal Mia’s wife broke down in tears, revealing their dire situation. She expressed her inability to afford further medical care for her husband, who was the sole breadwinner of the family. Given their financial distress, she made a heartfelt appeal to the Chief Minister, urging him to intervene and arrange treatment for her ailing husband.
