Agartala: July 18. The only Congress MLA in Tripura, Sudip Roy Barman who casted his vote in the Presidential election has said that there are chances of cross-voting in the election.

After casting his vote, Roy Barman told reporters that since 1998 he is participating in the presidential election.

“Since 1998 I have voted in all the presidential election and it is a nice feeling. It is a democratic process. Everyone has their own favourite candidate and there is no whip in this election so I have casted my vote to my favourite candidate. It is a wonderful feeling. We are hoping that whoever won the election would work to save the constituency which is constantly coming under attack. After winning by election then again participating in Presidential election is a great feeling”, he said.

When asked him about the chances of cross voting, Roy Barman said, “Of course there are chances of cross voting. I feel and I think cross voting will be held”.
