Police recover stolen motorbikes, electrical equipment at Bodhjungnagar theft case

Agartala, 31st May 2025:  The Bodhjungnagar police have successfully recovered eight stolen motorbikes along with water pump machines, electrical wires, and items from a temple, following an investigation into a recent theft case. 

West District Superintendent of Police Dr. Kiran Kumar informed that the recovery was made during the probe into a stolen motorbike. The police arrested a suspect identified as Santu Das, who, upon questioning led them to a cache of stolen goods at the residence of another suspect Ratan Das. 

Authorities have confirmed that Ratan Das remains at large. The estimated value of the recovered items including the stolen bikes stands at approximately Rs 7 lakh, according to Dr. Kumar. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the absconding suspect and further investigate the case.
