Agartala Dec 03: Drinking Water and Sanitation (DWS) Minister Sushanta Chowdhury officially inaugurated the Amarpur DWS office in presence of Amarpur MLA Ranjit Das, Chairman of Amarpur Nagar Panchayat Bikash Saha, Vice-Chairman of Amarpur Block Advisory Committee Bir Bahadur Jamatia, Chief Engineer of Drinking Water and Sanitation Department Shyamlal Bhowmik, prominent social worker Abhishek Debroy, Superintending Engineer of Drinking Water and Sanitation Department Prannoy Kumar Das and other dignitaries.
Notably, the office started its journey from Saturday with limited number of staff and incomplete infrastructure. On a temporary basis, the Amarpur DWS Department will start working at the Pucca building of Amarpur PWD Department.
State DWS Department Minister Sushanta Chowdhury officially inaugurated the Amarpur Division Office of DWS Department by unveiling the plaque and cutting the ribbon on Saturday afternoon.However, although the division office has been inaugurated, the Executive Engineer and Assistant Engineer have not been appointed yet.
