Agartala, 4th December: A faction of retrenched 10,323 teachers under Joint Movement Committee on Sunday announced to launch fresh protest on December 09 next.

Addressing the reporters on Sunday the teachers said that the movement will be peaceful, simply to send a message to the state government to resolve the issue of 10,323 teachers as promised earlier.

10,323 teacher Dalia Das said, “This will be the last and final appeal to the state government and after that no more requests will be made as 10,323 teachers will launch massive protests seeking their rights”.

“Because of the indecisiveness of the state government, 10,323 teachers and their families are suffering to a great extent and this can’t be accepted anymore”, she added.

Adding that the JMC-10,323 has full support to the hunger strike by another faction of sacked teachers, Bijoy Krishna Saha, another leader of 10,323 teachers group said, “Any movement for the sake of 10,323 teachers is supported by us. But the government has not made any positive move yet. And therefore, we won’t wait anymore after December 9”.

Notably, JMC-10,323 earlier postponed their protests on November 21 as the chief minister Dr Manik Saha allowed JMC to be a part of the meeting with him.

But as no fruitful decision has been taken in favour of the sacked teachers, the JMC of 10,323 teachers announced fresh protests on December 09, next.
