Maker’s launch ‘Woman Desi’ from ‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat’

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, along with actors Alaya F and Karan Mehta brought the house down at ITT’s annual ‘Mood Indigo’ festival as they launched ‘Woman Desi’ the eccentric and offbeat track from Kashyap’s next directorial ‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohobbat’.

Apart from launching the quirky track, a fusion of modern and desi beats, the makers also showcased the film’s teaser, both of which were met with massive excitement and applause.

Considering the film is a contemporary take on modern-day relationships with much appeal to the youth and Kashyap and Trivedi’s successful music collaborations in the past including Dev D and Manmarziyaan, the vibe set by the ‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat’ tracks was nothing short of electric.

Anurag said, “I am really excited to launch ‘Woman Desi’ at Mood Indigo because ‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat’ and its youthful music and vibe has a very strong connection with young audiences. Their reaction to the tracks cements our belief of bringing them unique content that speaks to them in the language and manner they best understand and connect with.”

The audio of Zee Music’s ‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat’ album is out now along with the music video of the track ‘Woman Desi’.

‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat,’ starring Alaya F and Karan Mehta who marks his debut, was recently presented at Marrakech’s Jemaa El Fna Square this year.

The film is slated to release on February 3.
