Agartala, December 27, 2022: Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha inaugurated the 1,000 metric tonne godown of rice and Farmers’ Knowledge Centre at Takarjala on Tuesday afternoon in presence of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare minister Pranajit Singha Roy, MLA Birendra Kishore Debbarma, Sepahijala district’s Agriculture Standing Committee president Biswajit Saha, Sepahijala Zilla Parishad’s Sabhadipati Supriya Das Datta, along with officials of the district Agriculture department.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, the Chief Minister Dr Saha said that for a long time, the people of the area had to go around the state to sell their paddy and they did not get their fair price anywhere. As a result of the establishment of the BJP-led coalition government in the state, as well as the inauguration of the 1000 metric ton godown for rice and Farmers’ Knowledge Centre in Takkarjala, all the Janajati families of the area will reap benefit.
The Chief Minister said that this initiative of the state government is aimed at the development of all the people of India along with the development of the backward people of Tripura state which was unavailable during the Leftist regime of 25 years.
