Agartala, 27th February 2024: A tragic accident claimed the life of an 11-year-old girl in Tripura on Tuesday. Anita Roy, the daughter of a day labourer, was playing with other children in the Mekhli Para area when she fell out of a moving car.
She was rushed to Katlamara Hospital and then referred to GB Hospital for critical care. However, she succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment at GB Hospital.
Her father, who was working at a nearby construction site, was devastated by the news of her death. He broke down in tears at the hospital premises. The police handed over the body to the family after conducting a post-mortem.
The driver of the car, who fled the scene after the incident, is still at large. The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
