192 Battalion of BSF holds Civic Action Programme and free medical camp at Border area in Tripura

Agartala: Dec 12. In a commendable display of community service, the 192 Battalion of BSF organized a Civic Action Programme and free medical camp on Tuesday for border residing population of vibrant villages Bhagirath Para, Jenraipara, Wansapara at village Bhagirath Para near BOP BR Para was inaugurated by Patel Piyush Puroshttam Das, IPS, Inspector General, Frontier Headquarter BSF Tripura in the presence of Paramjeet Singh, DIG, SHQ BSF Teliamura and CMS Rawat, Commandant, 192 Battalion of BSF, officer’s and jawans at border.

During this programme various items were distributed to villagers like Sewing machine singer with stand, Ladies T-shirt, Ladies slippers for ladies and study materials, School bag. Water bottle, Ball pen, Sketch pen, Note book, Drawing book for students and slide ladder roller for Govt. School of BR Para and Wansapara and Volley Ball along with Net, Carom board with coin, football, football goalpost net for village sport club and water storage tank, Patila, Kadai, Plastic Chair, Solar LED light, Canopy. Round chair for community Centre Dr Ankur Sharma Medical Officer 192 BN BSF alongwith Medical staff and Dr. Pandab Chandra Das. SDMO, Gandachera attended the patients, provided medical assistance and gave away free medicines to poor and needy villagers. In this programme, panchayat member of Bhagirath Para, Moti Lal Tripura and Chandan Tripura, School teachers and children’s were also participated. This programme was attended by approximately 300 villagers.

IG Frontier Headquarter BSF Tripura emphasized that BSF is not just responsible for safe guarding the Nation’s Border’s but also actively contributes to society annually and also inspired the children of the border areas to get good education and sports activity and also encouraged the border citizens to establish good relations with Border Security Force and motivate them and also appealed to help the Border Security Force in preventing crimes and infiltration on the border. The villagers expressed their happiness and appreciated BSF for organizing this programme and helping them and a request was made to organize such programmes in future.
