Agartala, September 24: The two-day long convention of the National Federation of New States (NFNS) has concluded on Sunday at State Guest House here.

The meeting was attended by NFNS president Manish Tamang and general secretary S Scindia, IPFT leader and minister Shukla Charan Noatia along with a large number of leaders from different states of India who are holding movement for separate states.

Speaking to media personnel after the conclusion of the two-day long meeting, IPFT leader and minister Noatia said that the NFNS has organized this two-day long convention here and today is the last day. This convention significantly focused on those leaders who are seeking separate state through movements for a long time across the country.

“In Tripura, ruling BJP’s allied partner IPFT is also a member of NFNS. When former minister NC Debbarma was the president of IPFT, we have joined the movement with NFNS and participated in several national level movements. Telangana, the state formed in 2014 was the fruits of movement through NFNS and presently, the leaders are advisors of the Federation. Even, advocates practicing in high courts and Supreme Court are also attached with us”, he added.

Highlighting the motive of IPFT in connection with NFNS, Noatia said “We will continue to organize movements jointly till our demand for separate state in ADC areas is achieved.”
