Agartala, 21st March 2025 :  The budget for the financial year 2025-26 has been hailed as a significant step towards boosting Tripura’s economy and fostering development across the state. MP Biplab Kumar Deb on Friday praised the BJP-IPFT-Tipra Matha coalition government for presenting what he described as a “developed budget.”

“A budget of Rs 27,804.67 crore was presented for the financial year 2024-25. This year, the budget stands at Rs 32,423.44 crore, marking an increase of about 20 percent compared to the previous year,” Deb stated. He emphasized that the budget has been crafted with the welfare of the most marginalized sections of society in mind.

Deb echoed these sentiments, highlighting the comprehensive nature of the budget. “This year’s budget has been presented with the overall development of Tripura in focus. The dedication of the cabinet members under the leadership of the Chief Minister is evident through this budget,” he remarked.

In a gesture welcomed by government employees and teachers, Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha announced an additional 3% dearness allowance as part of the budget. “This is a gift to the government employees and teachers of Tripura,” Deb noted expressing optimism that the budget would further strengthen the state’s economy.

Deb also extended his congratulations to Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy and the entire cabinet for their efforts in presenting what he termed a “developed budget.”
