Agartala, 22nd March 2025:  Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha held a meeting with the Reliance Jio team on Saturday to explore investment opportunities in Tripura.

Sharing the update on Facebook, Dr. Saha mentioned that during his earlier meetings with Mukesh Ambani—Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries—at Mumbai and Advantage Assam 2.0 in Guwahati, he had urged Ambani to support his vision for a Viksit Tripura.

“In line with his guidance, a team of Reliance Jio officials, led by the Business Head for the North Eastern Zone, visited Tripura to assess investment prospects in key sectors such as IT and IT-enabled services, data centers, natural gas exploration, fertiliser production, petroleum, ethanol production from bamboo, rubberwood furniture, agro-food processing, and tourism. Their enthusiasm for the IT sector, in particular, is very promising. Looking forward to collaborating with Reliance Industries to transform Tripura’s future together,” Dr. Saha stated.

He also highlighted that several investors have already shown interest in the state and signed MoUs.

“I have spoken with Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, and Tata Group Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran. They have assured us of their commitment to investing in Tripura, marking a significant step forward for the state’s growth,” he added.
