200 pharmacists in Allopathy section to be recruited, says ICA minister Sushanta

Agartala, August 12, 2022: In the state cabinet meeting on Friday, several decisions has been taken by the council of ministers in creation of posts and filling up of vacancies under various departments.

Speaking to reporters here at Civil Secretariat on Friday afternoon, Cabinet Spokesperson and ICA minister Sushanta Chowdhury said “200 posts of pharmacists in the Allopathy section will be recruited on fixed pay basis under the Health and Family Welfare department. At present, there are 739 sanctioned posts and 238 are already occupied while Finance department gave approval for 200 posts to be filled up.”

“Under the Finance department, 20 post of multi-tasking staff (Group-D) in Social Audit section have been created. Under the Fire Services department, 8 new posts of Assistant Divisional Fire Officer (ADFO) has been created. Under the PWD department, 147 posts of various categories has been created,” he added.

Minister said “Nine vacant posts of Sub-Inspector in the Excise department will be filled up and the recruitments will be made directly by the TPSC. Similarly, 35 posts comprising of 6 sub-inspector, three fumigation assistants, six junior store keepers, 20 LD clerks to be filled under Food and Civil Supplies department through TPSC.”

At last, he also said that the council of ministers also took another decision that the aspirants with diploma or bachelor degree can also file applications for the posts of pharmacist, lab technician and opthamal assistant.
