Agartala, 20th November 2025: The 23rd Sub-Divisional Conference of the Tripura Rajya Upajati Ganamukti Parishad was marked today with a colorful procession that began from the premises of Suniti Bala Bhavan and moved through the town’s main thoroughfare.
The rally was led by Leader of the Opposition, CPI(M) State Secretary and Politburo member Jitendra Chaudhury. He was joined by Ganamukti Parishad central leader Rajendra Reang, State Secretary Radhacharan Debbarma, CPI(M) District Secretary Krishnendu Choudhury, State Committee member Biswarup Goswami, and several other senior leaders.
Following the procession, the conference was formally convened at Suniti Bala Bhavan. At noon, the event was inaugurated with the rally, after which members paid floral tributes at the Shaheed Bedi near the CPI(M) district office to honor martyrs.
In the afternoon, the 23rd Divisional Conference of the Ganamukti Parishad was held, with 205 delegates from various ADC areas of Kailashahar participating. A new 25-member divisional committee was formed, electing Mohan Debbarma as Secretary and Paichuklen Halam as President.
Addressing the media after the conference, Opposition Leader Jitendra Chaudhury said: “People are witnessing the misrule of BJP and Tipra Motha. Citizens have now begun a united struggle against it. Today’s conference was highly successful, and in the coming days, people will join mass movements to remove the ruling party.”
