Agartala, 29th August 2024: A tragic incident took place at Debthang area under Teliamura police station on Thursday, as 25-year-old Rajesh Kaipeng lost his life after being electrocuted while repairing an electric fan in his home.
According to local sources, Rajesh Kaipeng, a resident of Debthang was attempting to fix the fan when he suddenly suffered a severe electric shock. Alarmed by the situation, his family members and neighbours immediately informed the Teliamura fire brigade.
Rescue personnel swiftly arrived at the scene and rushed Rajesh to the Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital. However, despite their efforts, the doctor on duty pronounced him dead upon arrival.
Following the necessary procedures, Rajesh’s body was sent for post-mortem at the hospital’s mortuary. Later, the body was released to his grieving family, as confirmed by sources at Teliamura sub-divisional hospital.
The tragic accident has left the local community in shock, highlighting the dangers of handling electrical repairs without proper precautions.
