Agartala, 5th February 2026 : The 2nd Edition of Pithe Puli Utsav, a vibrant celebration of traditional cuisine, culture, and community spirit, concluded successfully after four days of festivities at Mukti Sangha Puja Ground, Ramnagar 5-6, Agartala. Held from January 31 to February 2, the festival drew enthusiastic participation from food lovers, cultural enthusiasts, and community members alike.
With more than 20 food stalls, the festival showcased the rich culinary traditions of Bengal and Tripura. Visitors enjoyed a wide variety of Pithe, Puli, and popular street foods. A notable highlight was the strong presence of women-led stalls, which received overwhelming appreciation, reinforcing the festival’s role as a platform for promoting women’s entrepreneurship.
The festival was formally inaugurated by Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation, Dipak Majumder. In his address, he extended warm greetings to the organizers and attendees, emphasizing the inclusive nature of the event with free entry for all, thereby encouraging broad community participation.
The cultural segment emerged as one of the major attractions, featuring group songs, dances, skits, yoga demonstrations, recitations, and individual performances. A standout event was the traditional fashion showcase “Threads of Fashion” presented by Totell Fashion. With over 60 models across four days, choreographed by Joy Deb, Jayanta Sarkar, Deepjoy Chism, and Sagnik, the show captivated audiences and earned immense appreciation.
Adding to the festive spirit, electrifying performances by renowned folk and contemporary bands—ASHOR, CHANNACHARA, NATIONAL FREQUENCY, and MELODY JAMMERS—kept the audience entertained and energized throughout the celebration.
The festival was presented by Mukti Sangha in association with Amar Tripura and curated by Agartala Events For You. Mukti Sangha Club Secretary, Pinaki Chakraborty, expressed heartfelt gratitude to participants, performers, and visitors for making the event a grand success. Convener Samarpan Bhattacharjee also extended sincere thanks to sponsors and members of Mukti Sangha for their unwavering support.
With its successful completion, the 2nd Edition of Pithe Puli Utsav has further cemented its place as one of Agartala’s most anticipated cultural and food festivals. By celebrating tradition while fostering community bonding and entrepreneurial growth, the festival continues to enrich the city’s cultural calendar.
