Agartala, 5th February 2026 : Aryavart International University’s School of Pharmacy marked World Cancer Day on February 4, 2026, under the theme “United by Unique,” through an impactful awareness program led by B.Pharm and D.Pharm students. Faculty mentors Dr. Nirmalya Ganguly, Mr. Biswajit Das, Mr. Hafizul Islam and Mr. Saptadeep Nandi guided sessions reaching hundreds on the 25-acre campus and nearby North Tripura communities, promoting prevention, early detection, and treatment awareness.
Students distributed pamphlets on tobacco cessation, nutrition, and screening, while stalls featured quizzes, BP checks, role-plays on chemotherapy, survivor stories, yoga, and wellness pledges. The initiative addressed Tripura’s rising oral cancer rates from smokeless tobacco, emphasizing personalized care pathways per the global theme.
Participants Sansthita Debnath, Shusmita Debnath, Anupam Das, and Asmita Dey excelled—Sansthita coordinating demos, Shusmita leading pharmacovigilance, Anupam covering immunotherapy like cisplatin, and Asmita highlighting rural telemedicine.
A special lecture by Prasanjit Debnath from Computer Science focused on caring for nature and wildlife preservation, linking environmental health to cancer prevention through reduced pollution and biodiversity protection.
The School of Pharmacy offers cutting-edge labs, industry tie-ups, and placements, complementing programs in paramedical sciences, allied healthcare. AIU’s 2026-27 academic slate includes PCI-approved pharma courses B.Pharma and D.Pharma, providing comprehensive pharmaceutical education with practical training, industry linkages, and national recognition for aspiring pharmacists.
List continues with BCI-approved law courses including BA LLB, BBA-LLB, LLB, and LLM, providing comprehensive legal education with practical training and national recognition for aspiring lawyers and jurists. The university also delivers DME-approved paramedical courses BMLT, DMLT, BOT, DOT; management programs MBA, BBA; technology courses B.Tech CSE, BCA; alongwith Journalism and Humanities.
