Agartala Dec 09: The closing ceremony of 2nd Indian Bison Festival 2022 was held at Bison National Park, Trishna Wildlife sanctuary, Belonia.
Minister, Home(Jail, Fire and Emergency Service), Ram Prasad Paul remained present as the chief guest at the occasion.
Besides, MLAs Arun Chandra Bhowmik and Sudhan Das, South Tripura Zilla Parishad President Kakali Das Dutta, Co-President Bivishan Chandra Das, Avinash Kanphade PCCF and CEO (SCATFORM) Project, Dr. K Sashikumar (CCF), Saju Wahid A (IAS) District Magistrate of South Tripura and various officials of the department remained present at the program.
At the beginning of the program, the minister released white pigeons as a symbol of peace and inaugurated the art gallery.
DFO South Venkataswaram delivered the welcome speech on the occasion.
Addressing at the program, minister Ram Prasad Paul said, “Nature and man are synonymous, they are complementary to each other, one cannot be imagined without the other, so nature must be protected at any cost, and this is what the forest department and its staff are doing continuously”.
Later, the minister and other dignitaries handed over awards to those who secured first, second and third positions in various competitions including dance, drawing and painting.
