CM inaugurates 2-day long Annual Dental Conference at Pragna Bhavan

Agartala, December 09, 2022: Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha on Friday appealed new dentists present at the 21st Annual Dental Conference should be more sincere in providing medical services by accumulating the experience of the senior dentists.

Addressing the 2-day long conference of the Indian Dental Association Tripura state branch at Pragna Bhavan here on Friday morning, Dr Saha said “Doctor is the great profession of society. So doctors have to provide health services to patients with an attitude of transparency, only then people will get the best service.”

“There are enough dentists in the state along with other doctors. In order to provide the best services to the people, the state government is working towards developing state-of-the-art infrastructure in providing medical services. In this case, dentists should be more sincere in providing medical services. Emphasis should be placed on developing cordial relationships with patients”, he added.

The Chief Minister said that the government is working on various plans to improve the health infrastructure of the state. If there is any problem in the provision of medical services by the certified doctors, the state government will surely take necessary action. Along with providing medical services, certified doctors should also come forward to work for the good of the society.

Health department secretary Dr Debasish Basu, NHM Mission Director Subhasish Das, State Nodal Officer of National Oral Health Program Dr Rajesh Anil Acharya, State Branch President of Indian Dental Association Dr Sameer Ranjan Datta Chowdhury, Secretary Dr Sajal Nath and Director of Health Education HP Sharma also spoke on the occasion.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha unveiled the association’s annual souvenir.
