Agartala, 17th August 2025:  The Kashipur Ganesh Puja Committee has announced plans for this year’s Ganesh Puja set to take place from August 26 to August 30. As in previous years, the event will be organized solely by committee members without collecting any public donations.

This year’s standout feature will be a stunning 30-foot tall Ganesh idol crafted entirely from glass, a first for the committee and a visual spectacle expected to draw large crowds. The idol is being constructed under the committee’s initiative and is intended to symbolize transparency and unity.

Committee Chairman Uttam Kumar Ghosh confirmed that all arrangements are being handled internally, emphasizing the group’s commitment to self-sufficiency and community spirit. “We have not sought any donations. Our members have come together to make this celebration meaningful and inclusive,” he said.

In addition to the religious festivities, the committee has planned several social initiatives, including clothing distribution for underprivileged families. These efforts aim to extend the spirit of Ganesh Puja beyond worship and into tangible community support.

As in previous years, a vibrant fair will accompany the puja, offering food stalls, cultural performances, and local crafts.
