Agartala, 17th August 2025: A drone was recovered from a rubber plantation in the Kalapania area under Lefunga police station.
Initial reports indicated that the drone was spotted early this morning by a local youth Akash Debbarma, who had gone to the plantation and found the device lying on the ground. He immediately alerted nearby residents.
Upon receiving the information, Mohanpur Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Sabyasachi Debnath along with personnel from Lefunga outpost rushed to the scene. The drone was secured and preliminary details were collected from locals.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the origin of the drone and whether any individuals or groups are linked to its presence. Authorities have assured that all angles are being explored to uncover the circumstances surrounding the incident.
