Agartala, 4th June 2026: A three-day First Aid Training Programme for employees of Tripura Natural Gas Company (India) Limited concluded successfully on Thursday, equipping participants with essential emergency response and life-saving skills.
The training programme, which commenced on June 1, was attended by 30 staff members and covered a wide range of topics related to first aid and disaster preparedness. Participants received comprehensive instruction on the history and principles of the Red Cross movement, basic first aid techniques, and the functioning of the circulatory and respiratory systems.
The sessions also focused on the management of fractures, wounds, shock, unconsciousness, burns, bleeding, haemorrhage, snake bites, dog bites, choking, and drowning. Practical demonstrations on bandaging techniques, Basic Life Support (CPR), and transportation methods using improvised stretchers and hand seats were conducted to enhance hands-on learning.
In addition, trainees were sensitized to disaster management practices and the care and management of persons with disabilities during emergencies.
The programme was conducted under the leadership of Master Trainer Nandita Bhattacharjee, assisted by other senior First Aid trainers. At the conclusion of the programme, participation certificates were distributed to all trainees.
Officials said the training programme successfully enhanced the knowledge, preparedness, and practical first aid skills of the participants, enabling them to respond effectively during emergencies and accidents both at the workplace and in the community.
